Sign-ups are available the week before each lesson. – This group meets the second and fourth Mondays of the month from 12:30 to 2:30 pm in the community room. A Membership or Visitor Pass is required for this activity. – Preschoolers can stretch, move, and relax in this fun and engaging Preschool Yoga session! By recreating the Fab Four’s music, instruments, and onstage banter, Studio Two performs your most favorite hits that will bring people to the dance floor. Rain Location: Town Hall July 24th THIS IS A THURSDAY Jacksland an Eddy Nominated Soulful/Groove/Pop duo who have played all over the capital district and beyond! It features the soulful/passionate voice of Jackie Dugas and legendary singer/guitarist Rick Bolton. On this night they will be joined by Tim Wechgalear on violin and Pat Perkinson on Bass. Rain Location: Town Hall July 29th The North Country Jazz Project Big Band, these eighteen musicians are passionate about entertaining, inspiring and educating audiences with a wide variety of music from the Big Band repertoire. Many of our members are local, current or retired music educators. From Count Basie to Chick Corea, from Maynard Ferguson to Stevie Wonder this Big Band plays everything with spirit and skill. Rain Location: Town Hall August 5th Fenimore Blues, performs an eclectic mix of blues, R&B, and rock. The powerful vocals of Sherian Nolan are backed by musicians on guitar, keyboards, saxophone, bass, drums, and accordion. This combination allows a range of styles drawing on music notables from Bonnie Raitt to Aretha Franklin, the Neville Brothers to the Allman Brothers, Linda Ronstadt to Etta James, Santana to Tedeschi Trucks. He has shared the stage with a long list of legendary artists including Arlo Guthrie, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. Wherever he and his band perform they remind their audiences just how good genuine roots rockabilly music can be. July 30, 2025(15 events) – In Rogers Memorial Park At Lake George High School - Caldwell-Lake George Library We are proud to present the Seagle Festival’s children’s opera, Monkey & Francine in the City of Tigers, at the Lake George High School auditorium on Wednesday, July 30th at 10:00 am. This event is free and open to the public.
Utilizing music from both Western and non-Western styles, Monkey and Francine in the City of Tigers is an action-packed tale of bravery, smarts, and family ties. Brave Monkey and clever Francine work together to escape the clutches of a dishonest Crocodile and the evil Lord and Lady Tiger to save their family and their kingdom. Their teamwork and bravery show them and their parents that when they work together, they can accomplish anything.

Their repertoire continual expands with Crowmatix songs from their 18 Albums of Originals, Blues and Americana music and the songs Louie learned and helped create directly with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame group “The Band” when he collaborated with them for over 15 years. Co-producing The Band’s last three CD’s including their comeback hits Atlantic City & Blind Willie Mctell along with many of their 90’s repertoire. AdkAction and our partner organizations have been reimagining the future of our food systems by connecting our neighbors in need directly with local farms. These morning programs will feature author and artist meet and greets, handicapping seminars, and a variety of additional programming. Saratoga National Historical Park Looking for a more in-depth, hands-on experience during your visit? Join a Park Volunteer for a caravan-style tour of the Battlefield! Tours will last 2.5-3 hours. Meet in the Visitor Center and follow along in your own vehicle for as long as you like. May be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. – Featuring All-Day Blacksmithing Demos by Jordan LaMotheIt's time to get to work! Having a farm has always required having the right tool for the job. Join us as Jordan LaMothe returns for morning and afternoon demonstrations - blacksmithing farm tools! We will also have touch a truck and tractor, as well as hands-on tool activities for the young and the young at heart! –   – Saratoga National Historical Park A live tinsmith demonstration! At the time of the Battles of Saratoga, the tinsmith was an important part of both community and military life. Tinsmiths created dozens of useful items like cups, bowls, candle molds, lanterns, tea canisters, and other containers. They also provided armies with needed items such as oil flasks, canteens, document cases, cooking kettles, and even canister shot for artillery. Learn about the process and see a sampling of the many civilian and military wares a tinsmith could make! Children entering grades 1st-6th will experience four unique art experiences. This program is part of the Color Our World Summer Reading Program for children, teens, and adults. – Grimaldi is renowned for his expertise in abstract expressionism, his artistic journey is deeply influenced by the iconic American artist, Jackson Pollock. With a portfolio gracing studios, professional offices, and esteemed private collections, his signature style captivates viewers worldwide. On August 4th, his gallery will be doing a live demonstration on his technique at the Caldwell-Lake George Library, 336 Canada Street, Lake George, NY. The program will begin at 10:00 am and it will be assisted by Lake George Youth Commission campers. All the campers will receive a special gift and add their signatures to the piece as Artist! On your walk you’ll learn about the characteristics of the most common species, how to identify them, and about some of the invasive species that are threatening the forests. In this immersive and educational experience, you’ll command miniature armies representing the British, French, and their Indigenous allies across a large, detailed diorama of Fort William Henry. Ages 12 and up. No prior experience necessary, just a love for history and gaming! Join us as we gather to commemorate the historic Surrender of Fort William Henry. After enduring a siege by French forces that began on August 3rd, General Munro and the British were compelled to surrender the Fort on August 9th, 1757. A reading of the terms of surrender and a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the military cemetery. August 14, 2025(19 events) – At Rogers Memorial Park – – Registration required: Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP) and Lake George Land Conservancy Join naturalists with the LGLC and Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program for a free training on how to identify and report beech leaf disease. The walk will begin at the Edgecomb Pond parking area on Edgecomb Pond Road in Bolton Landing and continue up the trail, with the group learning plant identification and seeing examples of beech leaf disease along the way. Attendees will also learn how to adopt a trail with APIPP’s volunteer Forest Pest Hunters program and how to report invasive species using the iMapInvasives app. There will be an optional hike to Bradley’s Lookout for those interested in continuing farther. The hike to Edgecomb Pond is short and easy, the hike to Bradley’s Lookout is 0.8 miles along a moderate, gradual incline. We ask everyone participating in the Guided BLD Walk to bring the appropriate gear for spending a couple hours in the woods in August. – Ride Right is an engaging and interactive program designed to promote safe cycling practices and encourage community engagement. This Saturday Morning Social will include a program commemorating the 25-year history of The Saratoga Special. Join co-owners and co-founders Joe and Sean Clancy and managing editor Tom Law as they talk about the origin of the paper in 2001 and the role it plays, a quarter-century later, in telling the stories of the horses and horsemen who compete at Saratoga Race Course. FanDuel Racing broadcaster Gabby Gaudet, a former intern at The Saratoga Special, will moderate the discussion. The Clancys founded The Special seven years after establishing Steeplechase Times. Law came on board in 2013 after a stint with Thoroughbred Times. The Clancys and Law have collectively covered racing for nearly 100 years and have won six Eclipse Awards and several other honors for coverage of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes, and Breeders Cup. The Saratoga Special will also host a handicapping seminar during the Saturday Morning Social to discuss the 145th running of the Alabama Stakes. During a walk along the Yellow Trail at Amy’s Park, we’ll investigate beaver activity, a beaver pond, and lodge. Participants will have the opportunity to use their observations to make a beaver dam model to see if it will hold back water as well as a beaver’s. This hike is rated easy. 1 mile round-trip. Bug spray is recommended! Saratoga National Historical Park Looking for a more in-depth, hands-on experience during your visit? Join a Park Volunteer for a caravan-style tour of the Battlefield! Tours will last 2.5-3 hours. Meet in the Visitor Center and follow along in your own vehicle for as long as you like. May be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. – Bring your puzzles to swap for ‘new’ to you puzzles. Please have boxes taped shut or pieces in a ziploc bag in box. Puzzles accepted for swap with missing pieces just label box with how many are missing. |
